As per the original Schedule the D-team will not practice next weekend February 6th and 7th.
I might have told a couple of people that there would be practice not thinking through the process.
It takes all of our coaching resources to run a USSA race. Thank you for your understanding.
Also D-team parents are encouraged to volunteer for the USSA race. Please email Andy Cohen for Volunteer assignments firstname.lastname@example.org
The D- Team skied great this morning!
Everyone improved their times from the first run to the second run.

WTG D team Race 20160131
The Blog is back online.
We will have NASTAR racing this weekend. We will also include a Friday evening session. NASTAR schedule for the weekend as follows;
Saturday and Sunday 12pm-2pm
Please make sure you are a registered NASTAR racer before you come to race. Each racer through the help of their parents needs to take ownership of their NASTAR membership and Member account. We cannot do this from the NASTAR timing shack. So please go to nastar.com and register or if you have a nastar number already make sure your account information is up to date, especially your birth date
Fees for NASTAR racing are $7 for 2 runs $15 for a day pass or $50 for a season pass. The season pass can be purchased at the ski office. You can call the ski office today at 434-325-8058 and purchase the pass to be ready for tonight/this weekend or you can pay (cash only) at the NASTAR shack on a daily basis.
More updated info for the Race Team and the ever changing schedule.
Next weekend January 30th and 31st we will have practice here at Wintergreen. We will have courses set top to bottom on Big Acorn with timing. This training will help us be ready for the qualifying race we are hosting on Feb 6th and 7th

We encourage our team to train here at Wintergreen next weekend. Please understand that we will be stretched with coaching resources and there will be limited coaching at the two away events.

Race team had the first USSA race of the year at Bryce resort on Monday for U10-U14 racers. The weather was perfect and the Wintergreen racers performed well taking 60% of the medals. Congratulations WTG Racers!
The next race is this weekend at Sugar Mountain. These races are open to all age classes. The SARA site has been hijacked by the slow start to the season and the race schedule page is a bit of a mess. The information is there but you have to search for it to find it. Bottom line is if you are planning to race this weekend at Sugar, and you should be, go to skisara.org, click on the U16-U21 race and register. Even though it says U16-U21 all age classes can register and the races are open for all ages. Just register for the race and you will be entered. To make sure you are registered you can also send an email to email@example.com with your name and ussa # letting them know you will race. This will ensure you are on the list.
The following weekend is another race for U10-U14 at Massanutten and U16-U21 at Snowshoe. Register at skisara.org for those races.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org question about any of the above.
